Naturopath Emma Hickey

Naturopath, Holistic Nutritionist

Emma began her training by studying holistic nutrition while living in Canada, after which she returned home to Australia to complete 4 years of further study to graduate as a naturopath. She is constantly developing her professional knowledge through research and continued education, and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

Having navigated her own health journey with the help of many different types of practitioners, Emma has slowly uncovered the factors contributing to her own symptoms. As a result, she knows this process is not always easy or straightforward. This is why she is committed to being a pillar of support while uncovering and addressing the root causes behind patients’ health challenges, so they can regain their vitality.

Prior to practicing as a naturopath, Emma spent six years working as a primary school teacher and one year as an educational assistant (EA/SLSO). This allowed her to work with literally thousands of children within the context of various school systems. Witnessing the health and learning challenges faced by many of these children has made Emma extremely passionate about assisting them through the foundations of a wholesome diet, lifestyle modification and supplementation when needed.

Emma‘s special areas of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Thyroid conditions
  • Kids’ health
  • Nervous system support
  • Autoimmune conditions
